Where release notes live and how versions are numbered
Release notes
Every version — with its date, downloads and checksums — is listed on the releases page. It is generated from the same release feed the app’s auto-updater uses, so what you see there is exactly what ships.
VRCS is members-only, so its full release notes are not published on this public site. They are in the app: Help & Support → Changelog lists what changed in every version, including the known limitations of each release. The latest is 2026.09.25 — Private Logs & Moderation Clock Fix: VRCS’s own log no longer contains your email address or your Windows user name (the log of its built-in browser is cleaned in the next release), and Group Manager → Moderation no longer misses entries when your PC’s clock runs fast. The release before it, 2026.09.22a — Richer Glass Appearance, brought deeper colours over a custom background and rounder corners by default.
How versions are numbered
Versions are date-based: YYYY.MM.DD plus a letter for same-day revisions.
2026.08.11a— first release cut on August 11, 20262026.08.11b— a second revision the same day
A higher date (or a later letter on the same date) is always the newer build. The auto-updater compares versions the same way, so it can never “upgrade” you backwards.
