VRCS by Nyxall

VRCS is a heavily customized build of an open-source VRChat companion app. It keeps everything the upstream project does well — friend activity tracking, world and avatar management, notifications, the VR overlay — and layers on tooling for people who moderate groups, run events, or manage multiple accounts.

Built for moderation work

The fork exists because group moderation in VRChat involves real operational work: knowing who is in your instance, tracking invitations at group scale, and keeping an auditable local record of what happened. The Instance Monitor, Group Scanner, and Logs Dashboard turn that from log-file archaeology into something you can actually see.

Access

VRCS is members-only. Create a free Nyxall account, request access, and once the studio approves it you can download the installer and sign in to the app with that same account — no access key. Approval keeps the backend features (sync, policies, group tooling) limited to a known community. The Getting Started guide walks through each step.

Updates you don’t have to think about

VRCS ships from a single, verified release pipeline. The app checks for updates automatically, downloads over HTTPS, verifies the file hash before installing, and never updates to anything that hasn’t passed the release checks. Release history and checksums for every build are published on the releases page.

Coming to Discord

VRCS Discord is a companion in development. It will let a group’s approved staff check moderation activity from their Discord server, using the record VRCS keeps. It isn’t available yet.
